Call Center Operator Jobs description

The primary responsibilities of a call center operator include handling and resolving customer complaints and providing information in response to inquiries about products or services. Call center operators may be asked to cater to general questions and complaints about the products or services that the company offers or be asked to specialize in a particular area, e.g., insurance.

Since call center operators need to communicate directly with customers, employers seek out people who portray a friendly and professional image of the company. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must for a call center operator and fluency in a foreign language is a huge plus. As far as educational requirements go, most companies require their call center operators to have at least a high school diploma.

Furthermore, call center operators also need to be comfortable at using computer software and should have good problem solving skills.
