Duration: 12 Months or longer Position Description : This is a temporary position for a Call Center Customer Service Representative (CUS1) within an energy company. The position requires handling multiple complex inquires and responding to a high volume of inbound calls in the Energy Efficiency group. The candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, continually changing and high pressure environment. Successful candidates will serve as the energy company's\u00a0first line of contact for customers inquiring about 19 Energy Efficiency programs and must have call center customer service experience and skills to maintain customer relationships and offer solutions. Individuals will provide customer support in resolving account issues and answer questions in relation to\u00a0Energy Efficiency programs. Successful candidates should enjoy performing route tasks and maintain composure when speaking to customers over the phone to answer questions and resolve issues. Typical Responsibilities: Typically via telephone provides first level review and resolution of customer inquiries related to\u00a0Energy Efficiency programs, products and services. Multitasking \u2013 listening to customer while typing simultaneously using multiple internal systems. Handles a high volume of calls. Frequent contact with Company personnel to obtain information and resolve customer concerns. Uses customer data, information about energy programs, and industry expertise to educate customers on solutions. Responsible for assisting customers and guide them to the appropriate programs or mix of solutions available. Delivering high quality, courteous, and professional customer service, through excellent interpersonal skills. Analyzing customer information through the use of multiple databases and computer programs. Manage and resolve customer complains\/inquiries. Contributing to a high performing team. Maintaining a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices. Performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years' experience in resolving customer issues by researching and analyzing information in a phone center environment. Experience providing customer service by phone, including managing customer inquiries, complaints and requests. A combination of education, training and experience to gain knowledge and skills generally equivalent to those typically possessed by a high school graduate. Experience using multiple databases\/computer systems to analyze information and generate recommendations. Ability to listen and respond appropriately to customers' needs. Ability to maintain composure when resolving complex customer issues Demonstrated experience handling confidential customer information. Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks, and prioritizing shifting priorities and deadlines. Demonstrated experience exercising discretion and good judgment. Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and collaborate with internal and external clients, peers, management, and other organizational units. Demonstrated ability to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices. Ability to effectively collaborate with team members to achieve department and company - wide goals. Effective communication skills in order to educate customers on highly technical information, such Energy Efficiency programs. Must demonstrate strong decision making, results delivery, ethics, and the ability influence and manage risks appropriately Typing 30 wpm \u2013 must include typing test scores with candidate submission. Flexibility to work Monday through Friday 8 am to 8 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm with mandatory Overtime Preferences: Bilingual (Spanish) Training Requirements: Two to three weeks training provided by the energy company (Monday to Friday 8 \u2013 5) Selected candidate must be able to be present through entire training, missing days may result in termination of contract.
