Classification Title: Pharmacy Manager Job Description: The Pharmacy Manager for the Center for Quality Medication Management (CQM) will work directly with the Center Director and the Manager of Operations to ensure quality services are being performed and contract obligations are being met. The Pharmacy Manager will be responsible for the hiring, training, development, management, and oversight of pharmacists and technicians. The Pharmacy Manager will working closely with management and staff in both Gainesville and Lake Nona (Orlando) locations. Assist the Manager of Operations in the development and implementation of the daily operations and management of the workflow to ensure contract obligations are met. Maintain adequate staffing pertaining to each client and the contractual needs of CQM. Provide training, assistance, support, and coaching to pharmacists and technicians as needed. Perform clinical and non-clinical services (calls), as part of CQM product offerings, to meet the needs of the center. Master all policies and procedures of the University of Florida, the College of Pharmacy, and CQM. Participate in all required CQM operational meetings. Supervise pharmacists in the delivery of CQM services. Contribute to the CQM quality assurance and improvement process. Review and approve hours worked, time-off, and vacation requests from direct reports. Conduct team meetings to relay information necessary for maintaining workflow and communication within CQM. Contribute to the ongoing marketing and business development efforts of CQM. Conduct review of direct report personnel on periodic basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual) as indicated by CQM. Other duties as assigned Advertised Salary: Commensurate on education and experience Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and three years of pharmacy practice experience. Licensed as a pharmacist in accordance with Chapter 465, Florida Statutes. Preferred Qualifications: PharmD degree from a fully accredited college or university, or equivalent degree with applicable practice experience. Previous experience developing clinical program protocols and standard operating procedures Prior experience working in call center environment (specifically CQM) Experience leading pharmacy teams including pharmacists and/or technicians Previous teaching and training program development experience Strong clinical therapeutic skills Geriatric or ambulatory care certification Healthcare quality measure expertise Must be self-directed and possess excellent organizational skills Ability to manage multiple people and priorities simultaneously Understand the pharmacistu2019s clinical role in the care of Medicare and Medicaid patients Experience providing client relations and account management for clinical services Positive attitude with willingness to grow, learn, support, and amenable to changes in workflow while maintaining the positive morale of the employees Mature, confident, and comfortable working with all levels of professionals, students, and patients.
