Profile

The Disputes Specialist is primarily responsible for assisting cardholders with any disputes or erroneous fees charged to their account.Essential Functions of this position include but are not limited to: Review and track all disputes filednAnalyze Win and Loss record for disputes & length of time to process a disputenFollow up with customers on any feedbacknDetermine if provisional credit is due (Must have knowledge of Regulation E)nInvestigate merits of dispute (contact merchants), verifying transactions, hold releases, etc.nGeneral account billing and card activities inquiriesnVerifications of identitynAdvising of when funds may be deposited to cardnSometimes handle escalated Customer Service CallsnAnalyze accounts to determine fraud patternsnProcessing Debit card fulfillmentnReview accounts and determine if termination is necessary The position requires: 1 years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center.n2 years in the merchant services industry or doing credit card processing.nMUST HAVE knowledge of the Chargeback process (timeframes, types of transactions, provisional credit) and knowledge of Regulation E.nExcellent writing skills.nExcellent interpersonal skills with a focus on rapport building, listening, and questioning skills.nKnowledge of Visau2019s processes and merchant service policies is very helpful but not required. Candidates must have a high degree of initiative, be a motivated self-starter and have a flexible attitude with the ability to adapt to a changing environment.The qualified person should possess strong organizational, customer service, written communication, and multi-tasking skills.Excellent time management and decision making skills while effectively handling high volume situations with little management over-site are also essential.nBenefitsnThe position will be eligible for PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision & Basic Life insurance along with 401K with a company match.
