Primary Responsibilities:


Support member outreach efforts with outbound member calls large mailing projects.

Makes appointment reminder calls and send reminder letters to members.

Provide coverage for (inbound and outbound) calls for /from members on Monarch Cares Clinic scheduling line.

Verify eligibility and assist with preparing member visit packet 2-3 days prior to scheduled visit.

Performs data entry of Monarch Cares Clinic screening results in DATARAP or other diagnosis tracking application.

Faxes member results of Monarch Cares Clinic visits appointments to members assigned Primary Care Physician (PCP).

Coordinates transportation (as needed) for member to and from Monarch Cares Clinic.

This includes but not limited to submitting authorization request.

Assists with Health Plan or CMS audits (i.e. RADV) with medical record retrieval.

Medical Assistant:

Prepares patients for diagnostic screenings (DPN, QuantaFlo, and Spirometry).

Completes required screenings following established procedures for appropriate patient care and safety.

Works with NP in Monarch Cares Clinic setting and assists with patient care, including but not limited to: rooming patients and documenting vitals.

Accurately document and maintain medical records and documents while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Maintain Monarch Cares Clinic scheduled and prevents prolonged wait times by ensuring appropriate patient and clinic flow.

Maintain exam rooms and work areas.

Prepare, stock, and clean rooms as well as maintain supplies and equipment for screenings.

Performs routine check of diagnostic equipment for quality control and ensure diagnostic equipment meets required operating standards.

Adheres to opening and closing procedures of Monarch Cares Clinic guidelines.

Maintains clean, neat, and professional appearance while adhering to dress code policy.

Full solid color scrubs are required while performing medical assistant duties in Monarch Cares Clinic.

Travel to offsite Monarch Cares Clinic locations according to Medical Assistant scheduling.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED

Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited vocational institution or a community college program

Some travel to offsite clinic locations roughly 25%-50%

Knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, and correct spelling of medical terms

1 years of experience working in a medical office or other clinic setting

1 years of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems

Computer skills with the ability to navigate computer applications, send emails and complete data entry

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint

1 years of experience handling high sensitive / confidential information

Access to reliable transportation that will enable you to travel to client and / or patient sites within a designated area

Preferred Qualifications:

Electronic Practice Management (EPM) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience

Managed care experience

Knowledge of ICD codes

Experience working with Medicare and / or Medicaid services and population

Experience working in a call center environment

Multilingual (i.e. Spanish, Farsi, Vietnamese, etc.)

Soft Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Ability to lift or exert force up to 10 pounds
