\r\rIntermodal Customer Service Assistant\r\r \r\rProvides support and assistance to the intermodal service team.\r\r \r\rMajor Accountabilities:\r\r\r\rAssists intermodal operations team employees in the performance of the movement of freight (loads) by performing the following duties:\r\r\r\r\r\rObtains necessary or required documentation from vendors, customers, or service providers.\r\r\rReviews invoice accuracy, completeness, required attachments, and fuel service charges (FSC's).\r\r\rMaintains the invoice hold report – to ensure timely submission of invoices to the customers.\r\r\rDatabases entered loads with a minimum of in gate on a daily basis.\r\r\rResponds to and is accountable for the Databased, not invoiced over 10 days report – escalating any invoice outstanding over 23 days to immediate supervisor for assistance, and reporting to accounting weekly on any invoices outstanding over 30 days.\r\r\rDaily Prints and distributes payment exception report forms (PERF's) assists intermodal team with research, resolution, and response as needed.\r\r\rMaintains and performs daily filing of load information obtained from intermodal team, sales and vendors.\r\r\rPerforms or assists personnel with tracing loads by calling on deliveries and empty containers.\r\r\rAssists customer service personnel by monitoring the movement of freight to ensure timeliness of freight transfers and deliveries.\r\r\rProvides regular status reports of shipments in progress to customers as needed or required.\r\r\rComplies with all company rules, policies, and procedures. Works and behaves safely by following all safety rules and regulations.\r\r\rAssists with investigation, research, and responses to discrepancies between actual and “Profile” invoicing as requested.\r\r\rAssist with “Pool Management” and equipment procurement, as needed.\r\r\rPerforms any task required to support customer requirements and company goals.\r\r\r\rEssential Skills/Experience:\r\r\r\rHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.\r\r\rStrong interpersonal and demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including excellent telephone skills.\r\r\rStrong ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.\r\r\rMust work well with others, including vendors, suppliers, and internal and external customers to achieve common goals.\r\r\rAbility to develop understanding of intermodal transportation industry.\r\r\rAbility to accurately input and edit transaction data, in a timely manner, (including accessorial and discrepancies) in the Company's computerized order-entry system.\r\r\rMust possess a working knowledge of MS Office programs or other comparable computer software programs.\r\r\rMust possess and exercise excellent customer service skills at all times.\r\r\rMust consistently demonstrate professional and pleasant behavior and effectively communicate in stressful situations and/or environments\r\r\r\rOther Skills and Experience preferred but not required:\r\r\r\rOne or more years related experience and/or training preferred.\r\r\rFour-year degree from college or university preferred\r\r\r\rShift: 8:00am -5:00pm \r\rPay: $14.00 / hour \r\rTemp-hire\r\r \r\rThe ideal candidate will have strong time management skills, have strong math skills along with being very detail oriented.\r\rHow to apply:\r\rTo be considered for this position, please forward your resume to me at Lacey.Thean@staffmark.com or complete our online application at www.mystaffmark.com and be sure to choose Naperville as your location.
