Customer Service Representative Jobs description

A customer service representative is responsible for handling a large volume of inbound phone calls regarding cellular service and strives to provide one-call resolution for problems and irregularities identified by customers. A customer service representative handles business transactions in connection with activation of new customer accounts on a computer terminal; communicates with customers using web-based tools and demonstrates the associated proficiency in typing and grammar; and also makes financial decisions to protect/ collect revenues and adjust customer accounts. As a customer service representative, one may be expected to assist the management with scheduling and tracking of the workforce and vacation schedules in accordance with the company’s guidelines and requirements.

A customer service representative job requires a high school diploma or state equivalency certification; a college degree is preferred. Minimum 2 years customer service experience in a high volume telephone contact environment with resolution of complaints or inquiries is an advantage for customer service representative jobs. Effective organizational and interpersonal skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills are other desirable qualities.
