Bank of America Eliminates Jobs in Texas

Bank of America Corporation announced it is closing a call-center in Corpus Christi, Texas, cutting nearly 70 jobs.
The company claims that the decision is part of the bank’s efforts to improve efficiency and to streamline its infrastructure. Calls formerly serviced at its Corpus Christi location will be routed to Bank of America’s San Antonio military-banking contact center.
Eligible employees will be offered severance pay and benefits.
