Customer Care Jobs description
With a large number of companies having made the shift from the traditional face-to-face customer care and snail mail to customer care call centers, customer care jobs abound in the market. There is an almost constant need for customer service representatives who can interact with the customers and effectively resolve queries and inquires.Most of these jobs involve making (receiving) calls via a computerized phone system. Providing instantaneous resolution of customer inquiries when possible, by giving appropriate billing, service program, or maintenance information and by recording orders or other requisite information on an assigned computer terminal may also be a part of the job. On an average, a customer service job would require that you attend approximately 75–100 calls in one workday. Therefore, pleasant telephone skills and a highly motivated attitude are a prerequisite to customer service jobs.
The other requirements of a customer service job include clear and concise verbal and written communication skills; flexibility of working evenings, weekends, and holidays; and strong problem solving skills.
Most customer service jobs pay around $11–$14 per hour and have an incentive system in place as well.
